We believe systems change is necessary to effect long-lasting, transformative improvements toward equity in Will County. Systems change means changing institutions’ policies and shifting their mental models about racial equity to remove barriers to resources and opportunities.

Black entrepreneurs have the drive and skill to succeed. They simply need a fair playing field allowing them to compete in the mainstream economy. That’s why we focus on changing the systems that hold them back, not the entrepreneurs who are yearning to move forward.
